Closet Thoughts: Transitioning from Summer to Fall

Cooler temps, cozy sweaters, football, hot apple cider, and boots, boots, and more boots. I get more excited about pulling out my fall clothes than my summer ones. I’ve been on a mission lately to stick to more classic pieces, and go for quality over quantity. You can always get some fun accessories that play with the current trends. It’s the same philosophy I use when decorating my home. The big pieces should be classic and neutral, then you can have fun and switch up the accessories.

You can build all of these outfits with staples you probably have in your closet: white and black T’s, denim and black skinnies, chambray shirt, printed blouse, ankle booties, neutral heels. Then you can throw in some trendy accent pieces like the plaid scarf or a big statement necklace. And you can head to TJ Maxx or Forever 21 to pick that stuff up on the cheap. So here’s to more thoughtful shopping (or at least the attempt)!

Have a great weekend!
